BAIC U7/EU7 mid-size saloon
The second generation of the Senova D70 was presented in October 2018 under the new name U7, to match the model range of the new Beijing Zhidao, or Beijing U7, brand. It is powered by two different 1,5-litre turbo engines producing 110 kW and 120 kW respectively, with maximum torque of 210 Nm for the 110 kW engine. The engines are paired with a CVT gearbox and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. In 2020 the second-generation model was renamed Beijing U7 after the relaunch of the BAIC brand. In September 2019 BAIC Group began selling a fully electric saloon named Beijing EU7 in China. The Beijing EU7 is a mid-size electric saloon based on the Beijing U7, previously the Senova Zhidao (D70 / U7). The electric executive EU7 is driven by a 218 hp (163 kW) electric motor connected to a traction battery mounted underneath. The EU7 has 450 kilometres (280 miles) of range on the NEDC rating.
